WorkGroups

Roles of the Workgroups:

SAMHSA uses five core strategic issues to assess the progress of the grants which support the KidsNet Georgia.  Four of these five areas will serve as the initial focal points of the Work Groups

1. Interagency Collaboration

2. Family and Youth Involvement

3. Financing

4. Workforce Development

The fifth core strategic issue, “evidence-based practices,” along with cultural competence and youth and family involvement, are all considered core values. KidsNet Georgia requires that these core values be incorporated into all Work Group activities and grant planning and implementation. KidsNet Georgia recently added a fifth workgroup:

5. Community Based Alternatives for Youth (CBAY)

Ensure documentation of Work Group progress and challenges

Communicate with the Collaborative about accomplishments, barriers, and recommendations
